Help us put our best foot forward!
For almost half a century, Winston Salem Christian School has been providing quality Christian education to the children of the city of Winston Salem. In the last decade we have made tremendous growth and change. Our enrollment has grown significantly, we have purchased a new 5 acre home, the move to independence and the establishment of the building blocks for a tremendous future.
Supporters like you will help to carry on the tradition of excellence at Winston Salem Christian School. Your continued generosity helps the next generation of Lions take giant leaps! In celebration of all we have done together in the past two years, we are encouraging our families to make a gift in honor of the future of WSCS. As a thank you for helping us take our first steps into this next phase of our school's history, you will receive a limited edition pair of WSCS socks!
Throughout the year we hope you will rock your WSCS socks on #GivingTuesday, Homecoming, and our school's birthday to show your Lion's Pride! Whether you're on campus or your couch, you can connect with the Winston Salem Christian community by sharing a picture of you wearing your WSCS socks on social media using the hashtag #wscsnextsteps.
You have been a big part of keeping Winston Salem Christian open and here for the next generation and now it is your turn to put your best foot forward. Make your annual fund gift today!
Annual Fund Project Goals:
Athletics Projects -$25,000
New drop down basketball goals will benefit not only the basketball program but the entire school. Replacing these goals will provide additional reclaimed floor space in the gym, allow us to maximize seating in the periphery, be safer for all basketball players, and allow us to store them away fro large group events and meetings.
World of Wonder Project - $25,000
The new World of Wonder will provide a science experience like no other in Winston Salem. This outdoor learning space will utilize the unique talents of Mr. Joseph and allow us to have rotating visiting educational experiences through the hosting of animals here on campus for students to meet and learn about. This outdoor space will also allow students to explore nature and have hands on experiences.
Exterior Improvements - $25,000
This project will assist us in raising the funds for an exterior awning and walkway for students to use during drop off and pick up, and during rainy days. With the size of our new campus providing improvements such as these will allow us to continue to enjoy our who campus regardless of the weather.
Outdoor Classroom/Meeting Space - $10,000
This unique learning space will be set into the hill of the playground, creating amphitheater style seating surrounding a fire pit that can be utilized for evening events. Teachers can use this space for gatherings, parents can use it for meetings, and student life can utilize it for evening events.
Lower School Playground & Fencing - $25,000
We have plans to create a unique "natural" playground on our existing space to expand the recess experience for our Lower School. We will also extend fencing around the space to increase the safety of our students during play time. Plans include a slide built into the hill, natural climbing structures and spaces for group games.
Performing Arts Space/Church Renovations - $25,000
Our school is very much in need of a space that will serve two purposes-- a gathering space for worship and a space to showcase our active Fine Arts program. This space will feature a clean stage that will allow us to host multiple events and activities, as well as breathe new life into the old Woodland Baptist Church sanctuary.
